The wealthy Jiggs is tired of being left out of the swanky parties thrown by his social-climbing wife Maggie and their daughter. He decides to teach them a "lesson" by faking his own *******, but things don't quite turn out the way he planned.

After the town's sheriff shoots the kid he's riding with, Dow clears his name and ends up as the new sheriff.
